Electrolysis Apparatus Student Type
This is used to demonstrate and describe the decomposition reactions at
the electrodes during the electrolysis of water, producing 1:2 ratio of
hydrogen & oxygen gases respectively, by passing DC current through
water. Positive results occur:
a) When an ember in a stick is introduced onto the test tube with hydrogen gas, it pops.
b) If the gas is oxygen, the ember must glow more
