Supplied in disc form (1” diameter), and sealed in the plastic disc with epoxy.
Samples emit a range of alpha, beta and gamma radiation.
These samples are extremely low level and present no known radiation hazard.
Discs can be stored in lead pots to minimise radiation levels.
Ideal for demonstration of basic characteristics of radiation.
Energy levels are as follows:
Cobalt 60, 0.5 μCi (18.5 kBq), half life 5.27 years
Strontium 90, 0.1 μCi (3.7 kBq), half life 28.8 years
Polonium 210, 0.1 μCi (3.7 kBq), half life of 138 days
