• Determines the friction torque under variable load , speed and lubrication
• The ground steel shaft driven by a speed controlled motor
• Journal housing fitted with a thermometer, sight feed lubricator and an end cover to retain oil
• Friction torque measured by a balance arm with added weights
• Load applied to the floating journal sleeve through a 4:1 linkage
• Journal sleeves in phosphor bronze, sintered bronze and impregnated PTFE supplied
• An electronic tachometer to measure the shaft speed
