Friction on an Inclined Plane
Study the friction between two surfaces and the forces on an inclined
plane. Set the inclined plane at any angle between 0 and 45°. The
included hanging pan holds the desired weight. Two wooden boards of
different sizes and a metal plate are included. Students can determine
the coefficient of static friction and the coefficient of sliding
friction as well as verify the normal and frictional components of the
force exerted by the plane. An instruction and experiment manual is
included. Ages 13 and up.
