Benedicts Solution
This is used to test for levels/ traces of simple reducing sugars.
It able to test for the presence (levels of traces) of reducing sugars such as glucose.
A positive test with Benedict's reagent is shown by a color change from clear blue to:
Green - 0.5 to 1.0g (traces of simple reducing sugars)
Yellow - 1.0-1.5 g (low reducing sugar)
Orange - 1.5 to 2.0 (for moderate)
Brick -red precipitate - 2.0 for high presence of reducing sugar
